We are the first, oldest and largest citizen’s group in the nation fighting for student loan justice.  We are fighting for the cancellation of all federally owned student loans by executive action, and the return of bankruptcy protections to all student loans. We’ve been featured on 60 Minutes, in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Vice News, Fox News, Rolling Stone, NPR, PBS, and many other places.  We have broken many news stories over the years.  We have been- and continue to be- the original, seminal, leading force behind both the fight for student loan cancellation by executive order, and also key bankruptcy legislation that will solve this problem.   We are the tip of the spear in the citizen's battle for student loan justice.

We need you.  Start by doing the daily action. These actions are the most efficient, and effective use of your time for getting this problem solved! Also, sign our petition calling on the President to cancel all federally owned loans by executive order, and fight for the return of bankruptcy protections to all student loans. Follow us on X. Join us on Facebook.  Join your state chapter group.

We are supported entirely by student loan borrowers and individuals sympathetic to this fight.

We have very low overhead, but even so we rely on regular donations- personal gifts- for operational expenses such as this website.  We fight for student loan borrowers and no one else. We are not affiliated with nor do we take donations from Corporations, Political Action Committees, or Public Interest Groups of any kind, in order to avoid entanglements which could damage our integrity and our advocacy.

We decided years ago to not form a non-profit entity to protect and ensure our freedom of speech and action. As such, we are a "grassroots" group in the truest, original sense of the word!

Please contribute what you can, and consider a small monthly donation if at all possible.  Since we engage in political advocacy, your donations are not tax-deductible. We do have a fiscal sponsorship for the educational work we do with a non-profit, The Backbone Campaign, which does provide a means for tax-deductible donations.

We're glad you found us…Help us fight!
